In essence, we are about providing a mutually supportive and learning platform in which every member has the opportunity to develop and practice communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence, self-esteem, personal growth and the ability to relate more effectively to people. Most importantly, you will learn these skills in a positive and friendly environment. You will have fun, meet new people, and form friendships that will last a lifetime.
Choosing a club that is the right fit for you is important. What makes Plateau Toastmasters Club special is the diversity of our club. We are a caring and compassionate group and want to help you learn and grow.

What is Toastmasters ?

From a humble beginning in 1924 at the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, Toastmasters International has grown to become a world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience. The nonprofit organization now has 358,000 members, and growing, in 16,800 clubs in 143 countries, offering a proven and enjoyable way to practice and hone communication and leadership skills

Learn by Doing

Most Toastmasters meetings are comprised of an average of 20 people who meet weekly for an hour, or twice a week for two hours. Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian..

Learn by Communicating

  2. Where do we meet ? - Find out where!

Thousands of corporations over the world, and in Mauritius, sponsor in-house Toastmasters clubs. Businesses and government organizations have discovered that Toastmasters is an effective, cost-efficient means of meeting their communication training needs.  Toastmasters groups also can be found in governmental agencies, as well as in a variety of community organizations, prisons, universities, hospitals, military bases and churches.
